Anfang dieses Jahres veröffentlichte der jetzt 16-jährige oberösterreichische Musiker seine bereits zweite Solo-CD "Laub", wenig später eroberte er Publikum und Presse mit seinem Auftritt bei der Eröffnungsgala des 11. Akkordeonfestivals im Sturm. Kurz vor Jahresende 2010 schaffte er es unter die Finalisten des World Music Award 2010 und bekam den Förderpreis zugesprochen. Ein ungeheures Talent als Instrumentalist und Komponist, dessen Musik und Spiel Jahr für Jahr reicher wird.

An extremely gifted young musician from Upper Austria Paul Schuberth at the age of 16 has already released two CDs, won lots of prices and awards as well as entering the finals of Austria´s World Music Award 2010. Year by year Paul Schuberth´s musicanship and compositions gain even more depth and develop new layers.

Vom Balkan-Jazz zur Musik zum Abheben

Der serbische Musiker Nenad Vasilic lebt seit über 15 Jahren in Österreich, in seiner Musik scheinen aber immer wieder seine musikalischen Wurzeln durch, die im ehemaligen Jugoslawien liegen. "Wenn Du einen Swing in einem 7/8-Beat spielst, stellt das unwillkürlich Verbundenheit her", sagt er. "Just Fly" heißt sein jüngstes Album, eine jazzige Exkursion durch den Balkan, die doch weit mehr als "Balkan-Jazz" ist, so vorbehaltlos geht es Vasilic und seiner kongenialen Band um eine Sache, mit der sie sich und ihr Publikum abheben lassen: Musik an sich.

Being a resident of Austria for more than 15 years Serbian Nenad Vasilic´s musical roots still lie in former Yugoslavia. Roots he and his band explore with a free mind, a musical approach formed by jazz and clear vision, yet it´s even more than mere "Balkan Jazz".
