The CD starts with Mussorgski´s most famous piano work Pictures at an Exhibition and also contains pieces composed between 1852 and 1880 like Une Larme (A Tear) and the Porte-Einseigne-Polka, his first composition which Mussorgski wrote as a 13 years old boy. Alexandra Lachmann´s interpretation is as well sensitive and impulsive.
