Shmuel Barzilai, cantor, composer and chief cantor of the Jewish Community in Vienna, was a student of the famous cantors Zalman Polak, Shmuel B. Taube, Moshe Stern and Naftali Herstik and graduated at the institute of Cantoral Chant and Music of the City of Tel Aviv.
